I am a wife, mother, friend and educator librarian. As the title of this site implies, I was blessed with children “later” in life.  So, helping to choose a college for my daughter, making sure a little league uniform is clean for my son and considering my own retirement options are simultaneously occurring phenomena in our home.  Pregnancy in my 40’s:  that happened. Puberty and menopause at the same time for the gals in my house:  that happened too. Being the oldest parents at “Back to School” night: that continues to happen.

As the site title doesn’t necessarily imply, I have been blessed throughout my life. I hope you feel that way too! My faith is my rock and my salvation. I am a breast cancer survivor, and I try to wear that badge with humble gratitude. I love to spend time with friends and family and enjoy all things related to home.

My hobbies are reading, baking and gardening while my style leans toward vintage kitsch. I’ve tried to minimize, simplify and beautify with the help of many amazing Bloggers, books and creative friends. Here is where I hope to share my successes, failures, tips and tricks.

Thanks for stopping by.  I look forward to sharing and learning with you.
